Duties
- Assist the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring clinical supplies are stocked
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk, including scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and handling patient check-in/check-out procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Abeldent
- Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative care, and insurance processes
- Manage billing, insurance claims, and payment processing efficiently
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by adhering to sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Coordinate with the clinical team to facilitate smooth workflow throughout the day
Skills
- Level II dental assisting
- Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Abeldent for scheduling, record keeping, and billing
- Experience in dental assisting, including knowledge of sterilization techniques, dental procedures
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of insurance processing procedures and billing practices for optimal revenue cycle management
