The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll own the full recruiting lifecycle for skilled trades roles across Canada. As Tramin continues to grow its project portfolio, the pace and volume of hiring is accelerating, and you’ll be the engine that keeps qualified tradespeople flowing to our jobsites. This is a high-impact role with the autonomy to build sourcing pipelines, refine recruiting processes, and shape how Tramin attracts talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and recruit skilled tradespeople across Canada: welders, heavy-duty mechanics, millwrights, electricians, labourers, and related roles.
- Build and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified candidates ahead of project demand.
- Develop sourcing strategies across job boards, social media, trade schools, unions, industry networks, and referral channels.
- Conduct phone screens, coordinate interviews, and manage candidates through offer and onboarding.
- Verify tickets, certifications, and trade qualifications (Red Seal, CWB, provincial tickets) as required by client and jurisdiction.
- Partner with operations and project managers to forecast hiring needs and prioritize roles.
- Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, pipeline health) and report regularly to leadership.
- Represent Tramin at trade shows, job fairs, and community and Indigenous engagement events as needed.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally for skilled trades, industrial services, mining, construction, or oilfield roles.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian skilled trades certifications and labour markets.
- A network of contacts in the trades, or a proven track record of building one quickly.
- Comfortable with high-volume, fast-paced hiring across multiple regions and time zones.
- Self-starter who operates independently and owns outcomes end-to-end.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with both candidates and operations.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities, employment partners, or local hiring programs is an asset.
- Willingness to travel periodically to jobsites and recruiting events.
Why Join Tramin
