Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Technician role based in Vancouver, BC. The technician will travel to customer locations, assess cleaning needs, and perform carpet, rug, and upholstery cleaning using company-approved tools, solutions, and techniques. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and loading equipment, pre-treating stains, operating cleaning machinery, and ensuring work areas are left clean and orderly. The role involves communicating clearly with customers about services, care instructions, and follow-up recommendations. The technician will also maintain equipment, follow safety procedures, complete basic paperwork or digital job records, and support the team with scheduling and vehicle upkeep.
Qualifications
Ability to perform hands-on cleaning work, including lifting, moving, and carrying equipment, and working on feet for extended periods.
Strong customer service skills, with clear verbal communication and a professional, respectful approach in client homes and businesses.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to assess stains, materials, and appropriate cleaning methods.
Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain cleaning machinery and tools safely.
Reliable time management and organizational skills to handle daily schedules and service appointments.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for traveling to job sites (company vehicle may be provided).
Willingness to learn industry-standard cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and product usage; prior cleaning or janitorial experience is an asset.
Comfort working independently and as part of a small team in varying environments and weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
