Registered Nurse (RN) — VP Health is growing!
Are you an RN who loves procedures, giving needles, and working one-on-one with patients—but wants more autonomy than the public system can offer?
At VP Health, we’re looking for a confident, clinically minded RN who wants to build something of their own within an established healthcare practice.
We want to help the right nurse develop their own patient base and expand their clinical skill set across a variety of specialized services, including:
- IV nutrient therapy
- Iron infusions
- PRP for aesthetic and therapeutic applications
- Botox for aesthetic and therapeutic applications
- Hyaluronic acid (HA) injections for aesthetic and therapeutic applications
- Phlebotomy and advanced injection procedures
You’ll have the support of an established multidisciplinary clinic, established protocols, in-house training, and a team invested in your success—while having the opportunity to develop a practice and patient base that is uniquely yours.
The Role
This is a full-time position averaging approximately 32 hours per week, with shifts primarily Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Initially, your primary role will be independently managing IV therapy appointments, including starting and monitoring IVs for multiple patients throughout the day—up to six patients at a time—while maintaining exceptional standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism.
As you become established within the clinic, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your scope of practice through continuing education and training in areas that interest you, including iron infusions, PRP and MSK injections, Botox, HA, and other specialized procedures.
We’re looking for someone who is confident, warm, clinically minded, highly organized, and entrepreneurial—someone who can work independently while becoming an integral part of our multidisciplinary team.
You’ll work closely with our Nurse Practitioner and Naturopathic Doctor, with established protocols, treatment orders, recipes, and in-house training available to support you.
What You’ll Do
- Administer IV nutrient therapy and IM vitamin injections
- Administer iron infusions according to established medical orders and protocols
- Perform phlebotomy and blood draws with confidence and care
- Perform MSK and intra-articular injections for pain management, following appropriate training and medical orders
- Administer Botox for aesthetic and therapeutic applications, following appropriate training and medical orders
- Perform hyaluronic acid injections, following appropriate training and medical orders
- Follow established medical protocols and treatment orders with precision
- Educate patients clearly and professionally regarding treatments, procedures, risks, and post-treatment care
- Accurately document treatments, assessments, and patient interactions in Jane App
- Maintain excellent infection control, sterilization, and safety practices
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment
- Provide an exceptional patient experience from start to finish
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team while confidently managing your own patient schedule
What We’re Looking For
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Alberta
- Confidence and experience starting IVs using IV catheters and/or butterfly needles as VP Health primarily uses butterfly needles.
- Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to patient safety
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
- Ability to confidently work independently and manage multiple patients
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical documentation
- Comfortable working with computers, MacBooks, Google Workspace, and electronic medical records
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within a private, integrative healthcare setting
- An entrepreneurial mindset and desire to build a patient base and expand your clinical offerings
Continuing Education
We’re looking for someone who is excited to keep learning and expanding their clinical skill set. Depending on your interests and the services you wish to offer, additional continuing education may include:
- Iron infusion training
- PRP and regenerative injection training
- MSK and pain management injection courses
- Botox training
- Hyaluronic acid training
- Other specialized injection and aesthetic courses
VP Health is happy to recommend appropriate training opportunities and help you develop a pathway that aligns with your professional interests.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the cost of obtaining any additional certifications required for the services they wish to provide.
