*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled Baker/cook to join our team part-time (3-4 days/week). The candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, food prep and executing items to order/ to -go while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency at the Cafe. This shift will be an early morning shift 3-4am to 11am -12pm but with some flexibility.
Candadites must have their own accommodation and means to commute to Radium Hot Springs.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a range of bread, buns, pastries, bagels etc.
-Cook to-order menu items and prep grab-and-go items
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain a presentable, clean and professional appearance in our open- kitchen.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized baking area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Cook and/or Baker or relevant role in the food industry
- Willingness to work early morning shifts to have baked goods ready for 6:30 am opening.
- Knowledge of baking techniques and principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
*Certification:
-Food Safety Certificate required
-Formal baking training required
