Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. In this role, you will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them relax, relieve tension, and promote overall well-being. Duties
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their needs and preferences.
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and prenatal massage.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments as needed.
- Keep accurate records of client sessions, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all clients.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage modalities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Ability to create a calming environment that fosters relaxation for clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on empathy and professionalism.
- Time management skills to efficiently handle appointments and maintain schedules.
- Certification from an accredited massage therapy program is required; state licensure preferred.
- Previous experience in a spa or wellness setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
