Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Glass Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing auto glass with precision and attention to safety standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior glass experience and some automotive knowledge would be beneficial, along with familiarity with hand tools and power tools. The Auto Glass Technician will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and professional service.
Responsibilities
- Remove damaged or broken auto glass safely and efficiently using appropriate hand tools and power tools
- Install new auto glass, ensuring proper fitment and secure sealing to prevent leaks or wind noise
- Conduct inspections of vehicle frames and glass components to identify potential issues before installation
- Use heavy lifting techniques to handle large or heavy glass panels while maintaining safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding service details and timelines
Qualifications
- Experience working with automotive glass and related components is preferred but willing to train the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise installation and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects safely
- Commitment to safety standards and customer satisfaction is essential
Pay: $17.32-$31.53 per hour
