Accounts Receivable Clerk
Job Overview:
Rahall Mechanical Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk. As the Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will ensure the timely and accurate creation and submission of invoices to our clients, perform collections, process and reconcile customer payments and other AR duties as required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit client invoices ensuring accuracy and compliance with client guidelines and requirements
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, pricing issues, and customer disputes; collaborating with internal teams and customers to ensure prompt resolution
- Post and reconcile customer payments (cheques, EFT, credit cards, deposits)
- Process credit card payments as needed
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue balances
- Perform collection calls on aged receivables
- Prepare and process credit notes, adjustments, and returns
- Maintain/verify accurate customer records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Backup to the AR Supervisor in day-to-day function
- Other AR duties as required and as position evolves
Qualifications:
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision using initiative and good judgement
- Effective and accurate communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others
- Skills in general mathematics and numeracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- QuickBooks experience is an asset
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Benefits: upon completion of probationary period.
Starting wage: dependent on experience.
