It's an exciting time to join the Score Group team based at our facility in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We are seeking a proactive Workshop Team Leader to support business and workshop activities. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the Workshop Team Leader will ensure seamless operations and uphold our high standards across all facets of our workshop activities.
We are looking for a Workshop Team Leader who will be responsible for ensuring all jobs are processed through the workshop to completion. The Team Leader supports, coaches and manages all team members including trainees.

Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Be proficient in fault finding and resolve problems for all valves and valve related equipment.
- Carry out mechanical fitting as required.
- Able to carry out / witness pressure tests to various specifications and international standards.
- Ensure Score Group QA Cards / Production documents are fully completed and are signed off for all work completed, including signing off others work, always ensuring client reference numbers are being recorded on the documents.
- Ensure that Score Group Quality Assurance procedures are followed for all work being carried out within the workshop and at the client’s site.
- Support the development of the workshop through continuous improvement and day to day maintenance activities.
- Responsible for escorting any contractors and third-party inspectors.
- Structure, lead and motivate other Technicians through coaching and technical training activities both on the job and through classroom-based activities.
- Assist management to build a strong, disciplined workshop infrastructure that drives excellence in customer focus through operational activities.
- Work with the workshop team to deliver Basix & risk assessment training as needed.
- Responsible for the General Housekeeping within the Building, workshop, and yard areas.
- Execution of risk assessments and review/approval of hazard assessments (START Cards) on all related Work Scopes.
- Participate in any Risk Assessments/Toolbox Talks.
- Advise workers of both present and potential health and safety hazards they may encounter while performing their duties
- Provide workers with proper written or oral instructions regarding safety precautions and emergency measures that must be taken
- Ensure that all workers under their supervision use or wear required PPE.
- Support the use of and updating of all Score approved systems. (I.E My time, D365)
- Undertaking overhaul or testing at remote sites (i.e., onshore, and offshore sites).
- Participate in both the nightshift and weekend rotations.
- Provide cross departmental cover when needed
- Is required to assist with and/or execute all projects to meet the demands of the client and or business needs.
- Ensure all projects are processed in an effective timely manner
- Ensure that all measuring equipment used is calibrated and in good working order prior to use
- Must adhere to and enforce within the team the correct time management set by the business.
- Is responsible for monitoring, reviewing and approving all time allocated to each project within the team
- Advising the Contract Focal Point team & Production Coordinator when projects are ready for any 3rd party services to take place.
- Is responsible for reviewing and requesting all parts/material required for the work scopes.
- Is responsible for meeting the targets set by the business with regards to our goals and objectives.
- Is responsible for maintaining tools and equipment in a good working order. Any damage must be reported, tagged and repaired or replaced where applicable after approval.
- Is responsible for the control and use of various chemicals, lubricants, greases, ext. There must be an accompanying SDS that is saved in the correct binder, and any container used to hold any of the above must be labelled with the correct SDS label.
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

- Ensure their own VITAL profile is complete and up to date.
- Responsible for giving individual employees reminders to action VITALs required.

- Participate in all accident / incident investigations and reporting as required.
- Ensure QA job cards are completed to the required standard, also carry out the checking of QA cards at management's request
- Ensure all equipment used is within the required calibration date.
- Assist to minimize all department non-conformances.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Mechanical (Manufacturing) Engineering Technology, Instrumentation or similar diploma preferred.
- 5+ years of experience within a workshop in the valve industry.
- Proven experience in a similar lead/supervisor role, preferably within a project-based or industrial setting or additional qualifications in a relevant field is a plus.
- Fully competent working alone on all valve and actuator types.

- Our working conditions vary from indoor and outdoor, potential for nightshift, weekends, as well as on client sites.
