Job Summary
Helix Contracting is a growing general contractor specializing in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) Industry.
Our customers are Municipal, Provincial and Federal governments throughout Ontario.
We are seeking a Construction Labourer with a strong work ethic to join our team. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel to different job sites throughout Ontario, work a 21 days on, 10 days off rotation and under the direction of the site supervisor / lead hand, will assist with various tasks on construction sites to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision
- Perform basic carpentry tasks as directed
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job
Additional Information
This position has a starting wage of $25.00/hr which will increase to $27.00/hr after a successful 90 day probationary period.
Requires a candidate who is willing to travel and is comfortable working for multiple weeks at a time.
The successful candidate will need to complete the following clearances but are not limited to:
- Criminal Background Check
- Government Security Screening
