Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Framing and Construction Labourer professionals to join our team. This role involves a variety of tasks related to construction, and site development, requiring a strong skill set in both technical and physical aspects of the trade. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction projects, and related skills, with the ability to work efficiently and safely on diverse projects. Must be able to handle power tools.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and effectively
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related masonry work
- Install cabinets, flooring, tiles, and perform carpentry tasks with precision
- Conduct restoration work including surface preparation and repair
- Handle plumbing and electrical tasks where applicable, adhering to safety standards
- Apply caulking and painting techniques to complete finishing touches on projects
- Estimate project materials and labor needs for accurate planning
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, masonry, carpentry, or landscaping roles
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Skills in concrete forming, finishing, tile laying, flooring installation, electrical work, plumbing, and restoration are highly desirable
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics for electrical or plumbing systems
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Valid licenses or relevant certifications preferred but not mandatory depending on the role specifics
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards
