Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Health Care Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in patient care. Responsibilities
- Patient care activities, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures in patient Homes.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation using Homecare software
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Support the organization of medical records and patient files
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to supervising nurses .
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient needs promptly and professionally
- Assist with medical procedures and basic nursing tasks under supervision
- Manage time efficiently to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Proven experience or training in homecare settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer operation skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient-centered care
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
- Good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Prior experience in nursing or healthcare is mandatory; other relevant training will be provided as needed.
