Job Title: Part-Time Property Inspection & Turnover Assistant (Short-Term Rentals)
Location: Bancroft, Ontario
Job Type: Part-Time / Contract
Compensation: $25.00 per property per visit (there are two properties)
Estimated Hours: Up to 25 hours per month during the summer. Rest of the year, approximately 3-4 times per month.
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented individual to help oversee two short-term rental properties in the Bancroft area. This role ensures the properties are fully prepared for incoming guests after each stay.
After guests check out and cleaning services are completed, you will visit the property to confirm the cleaning was done properly, complete any minor touch-ups if needed, check supplies and inventory, and ensure the property is guest-ready.
Each inspection typically takes less than one hour per property, but during busy summer months there may be multiple turnovers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to earn extra income with flexible, light-duty work throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Conduct post-checkout inspections after cleaning services have finished
- Follow a standardized checklist to ensure property readiness
- Complete minor cleaning touch-ups if necessary
- Take and send photos of the property after each inspection
- Check household inventory and report missing items
- Identify and report any damage or maintenance issues
- Ensure outdoor equipment (kayaks, paddles, etc.) are properly stored
- Ensure the property is ready for the next guests
- Be available occasionally for minor property-related issues
Qualifications
- Responsible, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
- Recent CPIC clearance (nice to have)
- Comfortable performing light cleaning tasks when required
- Able to follow checklists and work independently
- Reliable transportation required
- Comfortable sending photos and updates via smartphone
- Able to lift up to 40lbs if needed to move kayaks or lighter furniture.
- Must live within reasonable driving distance of Bancroft and have reliable access to a car.
Schedule
- Flexible scheduling based on guest check-out times (usually between 2-4pm)
- Higher activity during summer months
- Year-round opportunity with lighter workload in off-season
Pay: $25.00 per hour
