Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves creating stylish haircuts, color treatments, and styling services while ensuring clients feel pampered and satisfied. The Hair Stylist will also engage in retail sales and maintain a clean, sanitary environment to uphold our high standards of professionalism and client safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by listening to clients’ needs, offering professional advice, and ensuring a positive salon experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
- Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and hair care treatments to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals through excellent communication skills.
- Stay current with the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a strong portfolio of work demonstrating diverse skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon environment.
- Ability to upsell retail products naturally while maintaining a focus on client needs.
- Strong communication skills to understand client desires and provide professional recommendations.
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
