Position Summary
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will play an integral role in our production team by setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and other woodworking machinery to manufacture high-quality cabinetry components. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret technical drawings while ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines and other production equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, production schedules, and work orders.
- Load materials, select appropriate tooling, and perform machine setup and calibration.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
- Inspect finished components to verify dimensions, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Work collaboratively with production, finishing, and other departments to meet production schedules.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all company policies, quality standards, and health and safety procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CNC or production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, millwork, or a related industry is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of woodworking materials, including plywood, MDF, hardwoods, and laminates.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to perform measurements and calculations accurately.
- Effective communication skills.
- Physically capable of lifting, loading, and unloading materials throughout the shift.
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
