We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our growing team. ICI experience is an asset. In your capacity as Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers with the day-to-day project management of HVAC/R and Plumbing construction projects as assigned.
Your work will include (Duties / Responsibilities):
- Work closely with project managers, general forepersons, forepersons and other office employees to ensure that work is being completed efficiently.
- Assist with the coordination between project managers, construction site superintendents, subcontractors, and all other relevant stakeholders and communicate regularly with key stakeholders regarding project status and milestones.
- Create, log, and track change orders, information requests (RFIs), and supplier shop drawings and ensure project documentation is current, organized, and flows throughout the project team efficiently.
- Liaise and build relationships with general contractors, clients, and sub-contractors.
- Manage and track shop drawings received from all project suppliers.
- Review shop drawings for accuracy against schedules and specifications and place orders as approved.
- Issue, manage, and track all change orders and information requests related to the projects.
- Assist with arranging, documenting and following up on mechanical inspections and other activities as required by the project.
- Manage, prepare, and follow up of close out documents.
- Ensure that the relevant mechanical permits are closed once the project is completed.
- Assist with managing delivery schedules and update received materials our project management system.
- Attend construction meetings, take minutes, and log details into our project management software.
What you bring:
- 3+ Years of related project coordination experience (HVAC/R & Plumbing industry or ICI experience is a strong asset).
- Familiarity with project/construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills coupled with strong reading and writing skills.
- Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering diploma or degree would be an asset.
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction-related drawings, specs, and documents.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical construction processes through all phases – startup through construction and closeout.
- Proactively identifies problems / issues and develops effective solutions.
- Confident, effective, and professional when communicating with clients, designers, subcontractors, and peers.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment, handling competing demands.
- Work under minimal supervision / direction as well as part of a team, sharing information with others as needed.
Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
