Focus
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure our production machines and equipment are in optimal condition. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various production equipment while collaborating effectively with our team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Mechanical Knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical systems and familiarity with tools to carry out maintenance tasks effectively.
- Flexible Working Hours: Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when required, to meet operational demands.
- Responsibility for Coverage: Support the supervisor and be able to cover all assigned responsibilities during their absence from the facility.
- English Proficiency: Basic understanding and communication in English
- Work Under Pressure: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and meeting deadlines.
- Safety operate forklifts, reach trucks, power jacks, etc.
- Should have good communication skills to work with all departments.
- Display keen interest in learning and show interest in all assigned tasks.
- Drywall Repair: Completes minor drywall repairs as needed.
- Performs painting tasks to maintain facility appearance.
- Faucet Repair: Troubleshoots and repairs basic faucet issues.
- Toilets repair: Handles minor toilet repairs, including unclogging.
- Familiarity with safe operation of hand and power tools.
- Email Communication: Sends clear and professional emails as part of daily communication.
- Warehouse Cleaning: Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse interior and exterior.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Proficient in English (comprehension, speaking, writing).
- Basic computer skills and adaptability to new systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma.
- Previous experience with forklifts, reach trucks, and power jacks is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Hours may vary, potentially exceeding 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility to work weekends and potentially on statutory holidays.
Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Capable of working in a cooler environment for extended periods of time.
