About Scenic Valley Stoneworks
Scenic Valley Stoneworks is a locally owned countertop company in Vernon, BC, specializing in granite, quartz, and natural stone countertops.
We are looking for an energetic, personable Sales & Marketing Representative to join our team and help grow our residential and contractor customer base.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, generating new business, and turning leads into sales.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new sales opportunities, working with homeowners, contractors, designers and builders, following up on leads, and helping promote Scenic Valley Stoneworks throughout the Okanagan.
You will play an important role in growing our business and increasing our presence in the local market.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with homeowners, contractors, builders and designers to discuss countertop projects
- Respond to customer inquiries and generate quotes
- Follow up with leads and existing customers
- Develop relationships with contractors, builders, cabinet companies and designers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Promote granite, quartz and natural stone products
- Help customers select materials, colours and finishes
- Maintain accurate customer and job information
- Follow up on quotes to close sales
- Develop and maintain customer relationships from initial inquiry through completion
- Help develop local advertising and marketing campaigns
- Manage and create content for Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms
- Promote remnants, partial slabs, full slabs and special pricing opportunities
- Attend local networking and business events when appropriate
- Help identify new markets and opportunities for company growth
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous sales experience, preferably in construction, renovation, countertops, flooring, cabinetry, stone or a related industry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confidence dealing with homeowners and construction professionals
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills
- The ability to work independently
- A positive, professional attitude
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with social media and digital marketing
- A valid driver's licence
- The ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
Knowledge of countertops, construction, cabinetry or natural stone is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.
