Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software such as Oryx, as well as familiarity with geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Maintain patient comfort and provide instructions for post-treatment care
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Oryx
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle reception duties as needed
- Educate patients on oral health practices and treatment plans
- Ensure all clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Experience
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; certification in dental assisting is a plus
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Oryx is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology will enhance performance in this role
- Experience with scanning through 3shape or Itero is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team are essential
