Role Overview
The Accounting Coordinator supports daily finance operations, reporting directly to the Senior Staff Accountant. This full-time, in-person role focuses on processing Accounts Payable invoices and executing routine reconciliations of vendor statements, bank accounts, and credit cards. Utilizing QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skills, the successful candidate will assist with month-end and year-end procedures, perform data analysis, and maintain accurate records. This position requires a proactive professional with strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with external vendors and internal departments.
Duties
- Process Account Payable invoices and payments
- Reconcile vendor statements, bank accounts, and credit cards
- Maintain accurate accounting records and support documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end procedures
- Prepare report and analyse data using Excel and QuickBooks Online
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding accounting matters.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, including Accounts Payable
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude, open-minded and proactive approach
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Other Assets
- Experience in HubDoc
- Experience with Amazon, Shopify, Stripe or other e-commerce platforms
- Knowledge of GST/HST, payroll, and Canadian accounting principle
- Experience with inventory accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
- CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program is an asset.
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
