Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation & Control Specialist to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated systems and control processes across our production facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and automation technology, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to ensure seamless operation of manufacturing equipment. Duties
- Maintain and troubleshoot industrial automation systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and low-voltage electrical components.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings to diagnose issues and implement repairs or modifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance on automated equipment to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of new automation systems and control devices.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize process controls for efficiency and quality improvements.
- Support machinery maintenance and integration with automation systems as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to electrical and mechanical systems, including proper handling of sensors and electrical components.
- Document system modifications, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
Skills
- Strong background in industrial maintenance with experience in manufacturing environments.
- Proven electrical experience, including working with low-voltage systems and industrial wiring schematics.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automated machinery components and system integration.
- Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and other automation hardware used in manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings for system setup or repairs.
- Experience working with CNC machines is a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and customer service principles related to technical support roles.
