We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (R.P.N.) to provide staffing relief to Retirement, Long Term Care (LTC), and private care facilities.Chinese speaking nurses are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for providing direct patient care:
- Practices under the College of Nurses’ standards
- Follows facility policies and procedures
- Reports to facility Charge Nurse
- Aware of MOHLTC standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in retirement, long-term care or hospital setting is an asset.
- Availability to work various on-call or scheduled shifts.
- Chinese-speaking nurses are preferred but not a must
- A current BCLS/CPR certificate is required
- Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Strong computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and email
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Well-developed interpersonal/communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Works well in a changing environment
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Communicate with Managers regarding client status, service plan, service end dates, and risk
- Work with the scheduler to form and maintain a staffing pool of PSWs and RPNs as required
- Provide training and orientation to new PSWs
- Provide excellent direct nursing care services
- Maintain accurate client clinical records
- Participate as a respectable leader and or member of the health care team
- Provide clinical leadership
- Manage all front-line staff
- Review of assessment forms to decide if the resident will be accepted and if they are suitable to move into the facility
- Setting up the care plan for our resident
- Regular resident health status monitoring and check
