Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work quickly and effectively during busy hours. Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this vital position.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly to maintain cleanliness standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as meal assembly and basic food handling as directed by kitchen staff
- Support the kitchen team by organizing supplies and ensuring all areas are clean and sanitized
- Help with meal service when needed, including setting up stations and assisting servers
- Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold sanitation standards
Skills
- Basic cooking skills or familiarity with food preparation are advantageous
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper hygiene practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during peak hours
