Avon Co-operative Nursery School has been an active part of the Stratford Ontario area since 1953. We are a parent-run co-operative nursery school serving children ages 18 months - 5 years from the City of Stratford and the surrounding area.
We are currently seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator for one of our preschool classrooms. This is a temporary part-time contract position, Monday to Friday mornings, beginning in September 2026. The position is a temporary leave replacement with an anticipated duration of several months. The exact length of the contract will depend on the return date of the employee on leave.
Qualifications:
- Registration, in good standing, with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C Certificate
- Clear Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to start date.
- Must be able to meet Immunization Requirements in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).
Job Description:

Details
- This position is Monday to Friday mornings only, no weekends.
- The base hours for this position are 7:45am - 12:30pm, with extra paid hours for prep
- The hourly wage will be based on qualifications and experience.
- Start date for this position is September 8, 2026
