About the role
We are a growing freight brokerage specializing in long-haul cross-border trucking between Canada and the United States. We're looking for a detail-oriented Shipment Tracking & Tracing Coordinator to be the eyes on every load — keeping our carriers accountable and our customers informed every mile of the journey.
What you'll do
Monitor and track active shipments in real time across Canada-US cross-border lanes
Proactively contact carriers for load status updates, ETA confirmations, and check calls
Identify and escalate delays, border holds, breakdowns, or missed pickups quickly and clearly
Communicate shipment status updates to customers and internal brokers in a timely manner
Maintain accurate load notes, check-call logs, and documentation in the TMS system
Liaise with customs brokers and carriers on cross-border documentation requirements when needed
What we're looking for
Experience in freight brokerage, trucking dispatch, or logistics coordination (1+ year preferred)
Strong communication skills — comfortable making high-volume outbound calls to carriers
Familiarity with web portal platforms (e.g. C3 E2 Open FourKites ) is an asset
Understanding of cross-border trucking lanes, customs procedures, and PAPS/PARS documentation
Calm under pressure, with a problem-solving mindset when issues arise on the road or at the border
Bilingual (English/French) is a plus but not required
