We are seeking an experienced Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for industrial projects. This role requires strong knowledge of DCS and PLC-based applications, the ability to solve complex engineering challenges, and the capability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Apply advanced instrumentation and control engineering principles, methodologies, and industry practices to support project design and execution activities.

Develop practical and innovative solutions to complex technical challenges while working with minimal supervision.

Prepare instrumentation and process control system designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation for industrial applications.

Develop and review control system designs with a focus on Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and associated field instrumentation.

Collaborate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and site teams to provide technical support during engineering, field investigations, construction, start-up, and commissioning activities.

Work closely with engineers, designers, project managers, and other discipline specialists to deliver integrated project solutions.

Support the preparation of instrumentation engineering deliverables, including specifications, datasheets, control narratives, and design documentation.

Ensure all engineering documents and deliverables meet project requirements, company quality standards, and applicable industry codes and practices.

Review and interpret instrumentation layouts, field drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and related engineering documentation.

Provide technical guidance and support for instrumentation system implementation, troubleshooting, and project execution activities.

Maintain compliance with company procedures, engineering standards, and established industry best practices.

Minimum of 8 years of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) engineering design experience within the oil and gas or industrial sector.

Strong proficiency with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) is required.

Demonstrated experience in PLC and DCS system design, configuration, and implementation.

Working knowledge of electrical equipment and systems, including Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Electrical Heat Tracing (EHT) systems.

Experience with Fire & Gas (F&G) systems, including field devices and associated design requirements.

Familiarity with DeltaV Distributed Control System (DCS) and CHARMS technology.

Ability to interpret and develop instrumentation drawings, layouts, wiring diagrams, and loop diagrams.

Strong understanding of instrumentation engineering practices, standards, and documentation requirements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Field experience supporting turnaround planning, package development, construction, commissioning, or project execution activities is considered an asset.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
