Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier and Kitchen Helper to join our vibrant pizzeria team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, ensuring smooth kitchen operations, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and handle all cashiering responsibilities using Micros POS or similar systems
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments with cash handling skills
- Assist in food preparation, including assembling pizzas and other menu items following food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sanitation of surfaces and proper food handling procedures
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and promote specials or new products
- Ensure timely service by managing time effectively during busy periods
- Support serving customers in the dining area when necessary, providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, especially in food preparation, cashiering, or serving roles
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices in a restaurant setting
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
