Elgin Medical Institute is currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented Medical Device Reprocessing Technicians (MDRT) to join our growing endoscopy team in St. Thomas, Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced outpatient endoscopy environment focused on patient safety, quality care, and clinical excellence.
Position Summary
The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician is responsible for the cleaning, high-level disinfection, handling, and storage of endoscopic equipment and medical devices in accordance with infection prevention and control standards.
Qualifications
MDR certificate required
Experience in medical device reprocessing preferred
Experience reprocessing colonoscopes and gastroscopes is highly preferred
Strong understanding of infection prevention and control practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
Reprocess endoscopic equipment according to established standards and manufacturer guidelines
Maintain accurate documentation and quality assurance records
Ensure proper handling, transport, and storage of scopes and equipment
Monitor and maintain reprocessing equipment and supplies
Support clinic flow while maintaining patient safety standards
Follow all occupational health and safety policies

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
