Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice part-time 1-3 days/wk. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about dentistry and has a keen interest in working with patients of all ages, including children.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Abeldent
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred
- Proficiency in using Abeldent
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
