Shop Hand / General Labourer – Apprenticeship Opportunity
We are a small family-owned and operated business looking for a hardworking and reliable Shop Hand / General Labourer who is interested in building a career in the heavy-duty mechanic trade.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience and work toward becoming a Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice. We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
- Assist mechanics with repairs and maintenance
- Perform general labour duties around the shop and yard
- Operate basic shop equipment and tools safely
- Help with parts handling, inventory, and shop organization
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in the trade
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Valid driver's license is required as we are located in a rural area
- Previous shop or labour experience is an asset but not required
