About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant / Junior Assembler to join our team. In this entry-to-mid-level role, you will support our assembly team, maintain clean and organized work spaces, prepare items for shipping, and assist with general shop maintenance.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic who wants to gain hands-on experience in assembly, fabrication, and shop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Shop & Assembly Support;

Assist mechanical and electrical assemblers with basic assembly tasks under supervision.

Clean, degrease, and pressure-wash equipment parts prior to assembly.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop floor, including weekly maintenance, emptying recycling/waste, and restocking supplies.
Material Handling & Shipping:

Safely operate a forklift to move materials and components around the shop.

Build custom pallets and wood crates for outbound shipments.

Package, secure, and prep finished products for safe delivery.
Operations & Safety:

Accurately track and record labor hours assigned to specific job tickets.

Strictly follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and shop protocols.

Perform other shop-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
Requirements:

Certifications: Valid Forklift Certification (required prior to or upon hiring).

Physical Capability: Ability to comfortably lift up to 35 lbs and stand/walk throughout the shift.

Language: Fluent written and spoken English comprehension.

Background Check: Ability to pass a standard pre-employment background check.
Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (mechanical/electrical coursework is a plus).

Previous experience in mechanical assembly, metal fabrication, or warehouse/shop environments.

Hands-on experience with pneumatic tools and hand tools.

Ability to read basic blueprints or technical drawings.

Basic computer literacy and practical math skills.
