Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Amada Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience in sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and maintenance. This role involves operating various machinery, reading blueprints, and ensuring high-quality production standards.
Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, adjusting tools for accurate bends or cuts, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality standards

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately produce components.
- Set up and program CNC machinery, including CNC programming adjustments as needed.
- Use hand tools such as calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision instruments for quality inspection and measurement.
- Utilize cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished products safely.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and standards.
- Assist in assembly processes by fitting, aligning, and securing components according to blueprints.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment and perform basic repairs or adjustments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with sheet metal fabrication or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment an asset
- Proficiency in operating CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, press brake machines, and welding equipment an asset
- Ability to program CNC machinery with basic understanding of CNC programming principles.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical drawing interpretation.
- Skilled in machining techniques including use of hand tools, calipers, and quality inspection tools.
- Familiarity with forklift operation, crane handling, and material movement safety procedures is preferred.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
