Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead our store operations effectively. The ideal candidate will oversee daily store activities, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and drive sales growth. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management to foster a positive shopping environment and achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction
- Oversee daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, purchasing, and pricing strategies
- Manage POS systems, cashiering processes, and cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract customers and increase sales
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and maintain excellent customer service standards
- Monitor sales metrics and prepare reports to inform decision-making and strategic planning
- Manage budgeting processes and control expenses to meet financial goals
- Organize promotional events and marketing campaigns to enhance store visibility in the community
Experience
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail sales or store management
- Strong skills in negotiation, merchandising, sales management, and team leadership
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Excellent communication skills in both English and multilingual capabilities are a plus
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development, and payroll processing
- Demonstrated ability in budgeting, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and organizational skills
- Prior experience in supervising staff with a focus on customer service excellence is highly desirable
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
