Job Description
HP1 Roofing is seeking an experienced Roofing Site Supervisor / Project Coordinator to lead and manage roofing projects across the Lower Mainland. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on roofing experience who can also manage project timelines, coordinate crews, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
You will play a key role in delivering residential and multi-family (strata) roofing projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision
- Supervise roofing crews and subcontractors on-site
- Ensure proper installation of shingles, underlayment, flashing, and ventilation systems
- Monitor daily progress and maintain productivity targets
- Conduct regular site inspections for quality and compliance
Project Coordination
- Plan and schedule daily and weekly work activities
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment usage
- Track project progress, delays, and report to management
- Assist in managing budgets and controlling costs
Health & Safety
- Enforce WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings
- Ensure proper use of fall protection and PPE
- Oversee safe operation of equipment (telehandler, lifts, cranes)
Quality Control
- Ensure work meets manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements
- Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and engineers
Client & Team Communication
- Act as the main point of contact on-site for clients and strata representatives
- Provide regular progress updates and reports
- Coordinate with other trades as required
- Handle site-related concerns professionally
Reporting
- Maintain daily site reports including labor, materials, and work completed
- Document progress with photos and notes
- Report any issues, delays, or incidents
Requirements
- 3+ years of roofing experience (residential or commercial)
- 1+ year in a supervisory or foreman role
- Strong knowledge of asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and roofing systems
- Ability to read drawings and project specifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with strata or multi-family projects
- Knowledge of BC Building Code and roofing best practices
- Experience with project management or scheduling tools
- Equipment operation experience (telehandler, boom lift)
