Location: Tweedsmuir Park Lodge (Bella Coola)
Schedule: 15-days on, 6-days off (approximately) or 5 days a week for locals
Terms: Full-Time (10hr Day for camp or 8hr for local), $235 per day (10 hour day), plus gratuities
Start Date: As soon as role is filled

Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated, solution oriented individual to join our maintenance team. This position will work cohesively with the Maintenance Manager to maintain the grounds and facilities per the standards and expectations set forth by senior management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Assist the Maintenance Manager by covering reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Upkeep of facilities: painting and repairing walls (interior & exterior), fixing furniture, repairing cabinets, maintaining roadways and walkways, light plumbing and electrical repairs, assisting with larger projects led by the Maintenance Manager.
- Groundskeeping of the property: lawn cutting, weed whacking, pruning, weeding, raking, watering, landscaping and snow removal.
- Transportation and vehicle upkeep: transporting of guests and employees, picking up supplies, removing trash and recycling, cleaning, refuelling, and assisting with upkeep of vehicles.
- Cleaning: maintaining hard to reach windows, removal of debris from gutters, removal of clutter and debris from around property, and assisting with any other cleaning task as delegated.
- Conducting daily hot-tub checks and regular maintenance
- Ensure firewood is cut and stocked
- Assisting with the management of the preventative maintenance schedule
- Helping with larger construction projects during shut down’s
This position requires good communication, problem-solving, teamwork and time management skills, in addition to being able to carry out hard physical labor.
Qualifications
A Must
- Highschool graduate or equivalent
- 2+years relevant experience
- Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, hot-tubs, and mechanical systems
- Be comfortable operating power tools and towing a trailer
- Have drywalling and painting experience
- Able to carry out hard physical labor
- Able to work extended periods away from home
- Class 4 Drivers License
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a solution-oriented mind
- Good administrative skills, able to navigate and develop manuals, maintenance schedules, and upkeep organized maintenance logs
- Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred
- Landscaping experience
- Familiar with WCB regulations and the Canada Labour Code as it relates to workplace safety
- Experience in the remote lodge industry
- Trades training (ticketed)
