Duties
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient teamwork and high standards of food handling and safety
- Manage food quality control by monitoring presentation, taste, and consistency across all menu items
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food safety practices and sanitation procedures
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to facilitate smooth service flow and excellent guest experiences
- Support inventory management by tracking supplies, placing orders, and minimizing waste
- Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and hospitality excellence
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food industry setting with team management responsibilities
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures
- Previous restaurant management or kitchen experience preferred; familiarity with hospitality standards is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Experience in food service roles such as bartending or serving is advantageous for understanding guest interactions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
