Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our very busy respiratory medical practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of healthcare administration, and proficiency with practice management. This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinic functioning, exceptional patient service, and efficient staff management. The Practice Manager will serve as the key point of contact for staff, patients, and vendors, fostering a professional and welcoming environment.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the practice, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination
- Supervise administrative staff and clinical personnel to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow
- Oversee billing, coding, and insurance claims processing using electronic medical records systems
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA requirements
- Handle human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
- Manage practice budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation
- Ensure accurate documentation using medical terms
- Coordinate with vendors for supplies and equipment maintenance
- Implement policies to improve patient satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Assist in marketing efforts and community outreach initiatives
Experience
- Proven experience managing a medical practice with familiarity in electronic medical records systems such as Oscar
- Strong background in healthcare administration, preferably within dental or hospital settings
- Prior supervisory experience overseeing administrative or clinical teams
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, and resource planning
- Background in human resources management within a healthcare environment is highly desirable
- Hospital or acute care experience is a plus but not required
- Prior nursing or clinical experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory
