Rotation: 14 days on, 14 days off - steady days
Shift Length: 12 hours
Salary Range: $170,000 - $181,000/annum, range is variable and dependent on overtime worked and production bonus paid
Travel: Flight from airport closest to point of hire to Thunder Bay - Chartered flight to site
Accommodation: Remote Camp setting

Job Summary
The Mandate of the Safety Supervisor is to provide the necessary resources and support required to enable field personnel to meet all Redpath, Client and legislative requirements relating to Health and Safety in the workplace.
Education
Required: Diploma/Certificate in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene or related field
Preferred: Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene or related field, Member of the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) or possessing/working toward designation as Canadian Registered Safety Professional
Work Experience:
Required: 1-2 years’ experience in mining health and safety capacity
Preferred: 3 years’ experience in mining with corporate HSE experience, development of health, safety, training programs and procedures. Prior experience as a miner required.

Knowledge of mining industry and methods applicable to health and safety standards
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations that apply to work being performed in the region they are in.
