Licensed HVAC Technician – Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (Service & Installation)

Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and ventilation systems in residential and light commercial properties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues using technical knowledge and manufacturer specifications
- Handle refrigerant safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to plan layouts and equipment needs
- Work closely with TNB's dispatch team to stay efficiently scheduled and supported throughout your day
- Complete service documentation accurately for every job
- Provide clear, honest communication with customers about repairs, recommendations, and options
- Mentor apprentices and help them build real skill
- Participate in TNB's on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service. This is a required part of the role and a key part of what sets TNB apart in the community
- Follow TNB's quality and safety standards on every job
Qualifications
- Red Seal certification as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic is an asset but not mandatory. Significant hands-on experience and a strong interest in troubleshooting are essential
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioning units
- Experience with refrigerant handling and safety protocols
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work through complex system issues
- Knowledge of construction practices and job site safety requirements
- Proven experience in residential and light commercial HVAC service and installation
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills, you'll be representing TNB directly with customers
- Comfortable working independently on service calls, and as part of a team when needed

Compensation & Benefits
- $45 to $60 per hour, based on experience
- Premium pay for on-call time, on top of your regular rate
