Position Summary
Nedlaw Roofing Owen Sound Ltd. is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bin Truck / Crane Operator. This position is responsible for operating bin trucks and truck-mounted cranes to deliver and remove bins, transport materials, and support roofing crews. The successful candidate will also assist with roofing labour and warehouse duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate bin trucks and truck-mounted cranes.
- Deliver, exchange, and remove bins at customer and company job sites.
- Transport roofing materials, equipment, and debris.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and required documentation.
- Maintain trucks and equipment in good working order.
- Assist roofing crews with material handling, clean-up, and general labour.
- Load and unload materials at job sites and in the warehouse.
- Assist with warehouse organization, inventory, and material preparation.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Class AR or DZ Driver's Licence required; AZ Licence considered an asset.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Experience operating cranes, roll-off trucks, hook-lift trucks, or similar equipment is an asset.
- Working at Heights certification required or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Previous roofing, construction, trucking, or warehouse experience is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
