Sugar Run is looking for a part-time server to join our team.
We're an independent cocktail bar in downtown Kitchener known for craft cocktails, warm hospitality, live music, DJs, burlesque nights, and a late-night atmosphere that balances quality service with a fun, energetic vibe.
We're looking for someone personable, confident, reliable, and genuinely passionate about hospitality. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with guests, recognizing regulars, and creating the kind of experience that keeps people coming back.
As a small independent bar, teamwork is important. We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and is willing to contribute wherever needed to help create a great guest experience.

Requirements
- Previous serving experience required
- Smart Serve certification required
- Bartending experience and cocktail knowledge are strong assets
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Comfortable working late nights and busy weekends
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Positive attitude and professional presence under pressure
- Genuine passion for hospitality and guest interaction
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment
Responsibilities
- Providing warm, attentive, high-level guest service
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Running drinks and supporting the bar team when needed
- Building relationships with guests and creating regulars
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service
- Helping create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere
- Handling POS and cash transactions responsibly
- Assisting with opening and closing duties as required
Position Details
- Part-time
- Primarily evening and late-night shifts
- Weekend and late-night availability is essential
- Starting wage: $17.60/hour plus tips
