Job Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress or Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments with precision and care. The Seamstress will play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive high-quality, well-fitted clothing that meets their specifications.
Responsibilities
- Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fit and adjustments
- Sew, alter, and repair garments using various sewing techniques and tools
- Review design specifications and communicate with clients to understand their needs
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
- Select appropriate fabrics, threads, and other materials for each project
- Inspect finished products for quality control, ensuring they meet industry standards
- Collaborate with customers to provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or special requests
- Taking clients' measurements for suit rentals
- Operation a cash registers, greeting customers, helping customers in store
- Marking and pinning customers' garments for alterations
Skills
- Experienced with working on industrial sewing machines
- Proficiency in sewing techniques and familiarity with different types of fabrics and materials
- Basic math skills for taking measurements and calculating fabric needs
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise alterations and repairs
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and understand their needs
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects efficiently
- Good time management skills to meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
