About the Role
We're looking for a reliable, experienced driver to join our part-time delivery team, operating primarily out of our Etobicoke and North York locations. This role is a great fit for someone who takes pride in safe driving, on-time delivery, and careful handling of freight — including temperature-sensitive and food/produce shipments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating company cargo vans and box trucks to complete scheduled delivery routes outside of the GTA
- Loading, securing, and unloading freight safely, including palletized and hand-loaded goods
- Following delivery schedules and instructions with a focus on punctuality — some shifts start as early as 5:00 AM
- Maintaining accurate delivery records/proof of delivery
- Picking up occasional expedited/on-demand delivery runs when available (bonus pay applies)
- Performing basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Requirements
- Full G licence (Ontario)
- Clean driver's abstract
- Must meet our insurance provider's minimum age requirement
- Proven experience driving cargo vans and/or box trucks
- Comfortable with early morning start times (as early as 5:00 AM) and shifts ranging from 6–12 hours
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
- Reliable transportation to the depot (early start times may be before transit service begins)
- Willing to complete a criminal background check (required by some of our clients)
- Smartphone with data plan for navigation, dispatch communication, and proof of delivery
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience operating reefer/temperature-controlled units
- Experience delivering produce, food, or other perishable goods
Additional Info
- Expected hours: 10–20 per week to start, with room to grow
- Flexible/on-call availability is a plus, as bonus-eligible expedited delivery opportunities come up on short notice
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
