Machine Shop Helper
Location: Stonewall, Manitoba (approximately 25 km north of Winnipeg)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Machine Shop Helper to join our team in Stonewall, Manitoba. This role supports our machine shop operations by assisting with the cutting and threading of pipe and ensuring finished products meet customer and work order specifications.
Working alongside experienced operators and warehouse staff, this position is ideal fore someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and is looking to grow within a manufacturing and distribution environment.
This role plays an important part in ensuring that products are prepared accurately and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and operation of machines used to cut and thread pipe
- Load and unload materials into and out of machines
- Verify finished product meets work order specifications
- Measure and mark pipes accurately using precision tools
- Monitor machine operations and report issues
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Complete required documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform basic routine maintenance and housekeeping equipment
- Assist in the warehouse with picking and packaging orders, as required
- Operate a forklift to load and unload trailers (training available if required)
- Work overtime as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution, manufacturing, or a machine shop environment is considered an asset
- Experience operating machining equipment is an asset, training will be provided
- Forklift experience or certification preferred, training available
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials
- Ability to read and understand work orders product quantities
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work
- Ability to wear required PPE including steel-toed boots with metatarsal guards, safety glasses, hard hat, and coveralls while working in the Operations Department
