Overview
High-Definition Concrete Ltd. is currently seeking experienced and reliable Ready-Mix Driver/Bulker Operator to join our Woodfibre LNG team.
As a Ready-Mix Driver/Bulker Operator at High-Definition Concrete, your job responsibilities will consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities:
o Delivering concrete to job sites following the operational guidelines listed below:
- Operate shunt truck to transport bulkers on site.
- Discharge bulkers into storage vessels and transfer materials as required.
- Deliver concrete to customers in a timely and customer focused manner.
- Check concrete for quality and load volume according to order details.
- Visually inspect concrete mix for correct slump and constituents.
- Pour and strip lock blocks as required.
- Other yard duties as required.
- Working with customers on site to achieve desired targets and high levels of customer support.
- Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe fashion.
- Providing clear and thorough communication with employees of HD on the status of your jobs.
- Adhering to all Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures established by HD and LN LNG.
- Being an advocate of the High-Definition Concrete brand, including maintaining a positive attitude, and generally representing High-Definition Concrete well in the public eye.
Requirements for the role include:
- Class 1 license with air endorsement.
- Experience safely driving heavy trucks for 5 or more years.
- Good driving record (Driver’s abstract required).
- Demonstrated communication and problem-solving skills while working with customers.
- Solid knowledge of local and provincial transportation regulations and trucking routes.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or skill for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections.
- Be in good physical condition, able to lift and assemble concrete chutes weighing 50 lbs, sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain.
- Must be available to work 7 days a week on a 2 -1 rotation. 2 weeks on shift with 1 week off shift. Shifts are 10 hours a day. Schedule starts and completes on Thursdays.
- Must be able to able to work overtime as business and weather conditions warrant
- This is a live on-site position – No option for commuting.
