Job description:
Hilton Vancouver Downtown is looking for an In-Room Dining (IRD) Mini Bar Server to join our Food & Beverage team. You are responsible for delivering in-room dinning services and managing guest room refreshment centers.
Core Responsibilities
Setup & Delivery: Set up room services trays/tables to prepare for incoming orders. Retrieve food & beverage items from the kitchen and bar and then deliver them by either caring trays or pushing wheeled carts to either guest rooms or meeting rooms.·
Guest Service: Present checks to guests, obtain payment and ensure guest satisfaction by answering any questions. Retrieve trays after service
Mini Bars – Replenish all mini bars to standard brand levels. Check expiration dates and ensure all items are fresh.
Record consumed items accurately and report to Front Office to post to guest folios.
Take inventory and restock.
Inspect and clean the mini bars. Ensure proper functioning.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience: Previous food & beverage coupled with customer service experience in a hotel or ups scale dinning environment.
Skills: Ability to read, speak and write in the English language in order to communicate with guests and team members. Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper inventory and accuracy of guest checks.
Accuracy to detail and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
Availability: Must be able to work am and pm shifts, weekend and holidays. This is a position which requires a commitment to work full time, year-round.
