Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing cabinetry in residential and commercial spaces, ensuring precision, safety, and quality craftsmanship. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to ensure accurate cabinet placement.
- Measure spaces accurately and mark locations for cabinet installation according to project specifications.
- Prepare work areas by clearing obstructions and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to install cabinets securely on walls or floors.
- Assist with related tasks such as framing, drywall adjustments, or minor carpentry work as needed.
- Ensure all installations meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules.
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly handle materials and tools during projects.
- Troubleshoot installation issues on-site and make necessary adjustments for optimal fit and finish.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Experience with cabinet installation, carpentry, woodworking, and use of hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of construction processes including masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, roofing, siding, rebar installation, and caulking is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling.
- Familiarity with construction estimating and project planning is a plus.
- Basic electrical or plumbing experience can be beneficial for integrated installations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
