About Momentum Montessori: Momentum Montessori is a childcare center located in the downtown area. We use a hybrid approach to learning, including the Montessori, Play-Based, and Reggio Emilia philosophies. We offer childcare to toddler, preschool, and kindergarten age groups.
Type of role: Full-Time Registered Early Childhood Educator
Responsibilities:
- Implement a high-quality program in line with our child-led, play-based curriculum, under the direction of the Director, to support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Facilitate daily indoor and outdoor activities to enhance language, gross and fine motor skills, independence, and problem-solving.
- Support a child-led, play-based learning environment.
- Ensure the overall health and safety of the children enrolled in the program.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changes in the work environment.
- Be dependable and flexible to work the hours/shifts of the center.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the childcare space and assist in the organization of classroom learning materials.
- Ensure all current ministry rules and regulations are followed at all times.
Qualifications:
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Medical Check.
- ECE Certification
- A positive and fun-loving attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and working with children.
