Tap & Barrel Shipyards is currently on the hunt to grow our FOH leadership team at our flagship location in North Vancouver. We are looking for experienced full-time leaders. We are looking for an individual that inspires the team and has a passion for hospitality.
Tap & Barrel Shipyards is located on the beautiful waterfront Lower Lonsdale district in North Vancouver. Steps away from the sea-bus terminal and multiple transit routes. Responsible for maintaining all operations and creating positive guest experiences, this person embodies our company's core values and has a passion for leading and developing the team.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Support Tap & Barrel’s Core Values
- Oversee and monitor daily restaurant operations, provide assistance when necessary
- Coordinate with management team on production planning and forecasting
- Oversee tracking and recording labour, sales, inventory etc.
- Oversee and improve guest service (greeting, educating, processing transactions)
- Develop business strategies to attract more guests & optimize profitability
- Assist in planning, organizing, marketing, and executing events and parties
- Supervise, manage, and schedule staff (100+ FOH staff)
- Initiate and assist with staff meetings and training as necessary
- Educate guests and staff on beer styles, beer history, and beer flavours
- Educate guests and staff on wine styles, wine history, and wine flavours
- Hiring/Recruitment and training of Tap & Barrel staff
- Deal with all issues that may arise from staff and/or guests

A minimum 3 years of management experience in restaurants and hospitality is a requirement. We are looking for an experienced individual with a goal to grow in leadership within our company.
