Job Description
Objective:
To contribute in the effort of the maintenance team and the rest of the hotel operations in providing our guests and clients an unparalleled experience while staying or visiting the Hotel.
As part of the maintenance team, you will ensure all public areas, guest rooms and back of house areas are properly maintained and are in a safe working order for staff and guests alike. Our Guests satisfaction and the safety of our staff are our top priority.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To perform in depth and routine maintenance, for all buildings, equipment, standing machinery, vehicles and mechanical systems.
- To perform basic maintenance, electrical, plumbing, painting and structure repairs.
- To perform cleaning and painting of exterior structure (This is not a janitorial position.)
- To ensure all working areas, equipment and tools are in a clean and safe working condition as per Best Western and WCB requirements
To work at heights and in cramped positions, to work shifts and odd hours when required.
- To maintain outdoor guest space in the summer as well as ensuring all sidewalks, exit and entry points are free and clear of snow and ice in the winter
- To ensure all tasks are completed as required and on time.
- Perform any other duties as required
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years maintenance experience
- Construction skills
- Equipment maintenance Background
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- First Aid
- Team focused
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
